Life should have more Frosts

Robert Frost (1874–1963). Mountain Interval. 1920.

1. The Road Not Taken

TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth; 5

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same, 10

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back. 15

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference. 20

I'm sure you've read it before, yet its simplicity still shakes me to my core. Which road did you take?

I sat and thought my mind is still at a whirl, and I think of all the choices I have made in my short but long 25 years.
I would have to say there have been times that I so wanted to travel the road that so many others have traveled and carved the way for, but I think and I know I choose the other not knowing what lie ahead or where I was to go I where I was to end.
I have landed in a place I never could have dreamed of being, I never would have chose this path for myself and every day seems to be a mystery waiting to be solved.
But I also know I have to continue to keep choosing to stay on the road that holds mystery and obstacles, debris and surprises, but I know that road will be much brighter and better than if I chose to take the other.

Everyone would like to say that they would take the road less traveled. Would they REALLY, though? I wouldn't. -By praying in tongues, it's pretty much slipped up on me. Everyone says that they want a "Johnathan and David" relationship. -No they don't; Johnathan and David never even got to see eachother! -And their relationship was deeper than just a Best Friend. Everyone I know spends SOME time with their best friend. I may sound bitter, but a poem is just a poem until you're actually the one to walk it out.

Nice. I agree we have to walk it out... by the way why not sign your name? That might identify you as on a road less traveled?

Just a thought. I loved the comment.
